Vasant Panchmi was celebrated on 22 nd Jan 2018 by the students of The Centre for Teacher Education.

Vasant Panchmi was celebrated on 22 nd Jan 2018 by the students of The Centre for Teacher Education. “The celebration of the Vasant Panchami is centred on the Hindu goddess Saraswati. Saraswati is the goddess of wisdom.” Vasant stands for spring, and Panchami means the fifth day. Thus, the festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the spring season. 'Yellow' is the dominant colour of this festival as it signifies the ripening of fruits and crops. The mustard fields in North India blooms during this season giving a yellow coat to nature. Therefore yellow colour is wearing for the celebration of Vasant Panchami. The programme was commenced with the worship of Goddess Saraswati with the lamp lightening by our respected Mr. Anupam Goel, Dr. Nishi Sharma(Principal), HODs from Various Departments & all faculty members. After the lamp lightening various programs were performed by the B.Ed. IST Year & D.El.Ed IST SEM Students. Various songs were sung by the students. Some poems on Vasant Panchami were also presented in this programme. To enmark the importance of Vasant panchami, thoughts on the knowledge were presented by the students.
