The Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India. The Parliament is composed of the President of India, Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha.
The IPEM Law Academy organized Parliament visit on 13th February 2019 for the students, LL.B IInd Semester & B.A.LL.B VIIIth Semester. As the session was going to adjourne Sine Dine (till the government) all the members were present including the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. When the students reached their Hon’ble. PM was addressing the parliament. He briefed the achievements of his government in this tenure (2014-2019). He thanked everyone for their support and guidance and also promised that he and his team is always committed for the welfare of this country.
It was fascinating for the student to see all the proceedings live which we normally see on T.V. The elected members followed the formal protocol. They address the chair of the House and address the House through the speaker. Another fascinating feature is the headphones facility whereby any member can switch to the language in which want to hear the proceeding. Even some live interpretator are also available there. At last Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan addressed the entire House at it was her last day as a speaker. She thanked everyone for their cooperation and wished good luck for the coming election. At the end of session National Song (Vande Matram) was played.
